"Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you" (Psalm 116:7, NIV).
Soul-rest is what we crave.
Psalm 116:7-9 reads, "Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living" (NIV).
It's been said, "We must know how to put occupation aside, which does not mean that we must be idle. In an inaction, which is meditative and attentive, the wrinkles of the soul are smoothed away. The soul itself spreads, unfolds, and springs afresh; and, like the trodden grass of the roadside or the bruised leaf of a plant, repairs its injuries, becomes new, spontaneous, true and original."
May the strong grace of Jesus encourage you today!
