Jesus said to Thomas, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me" (John 20:29).
We have heard, "seeing is believing." But in the spiritual realm the reverse is true, "believing is seeing," as Peter confirmed when he wrote, "You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy" (1 Peter 1:8).
Sometimes we find it hard to believe what God teaches us when He says not to look for things seen, but there is joy beyond words waiting for us when we trust Him where we cannot trace Him.
"No one has seen God at any time" (1 John 4:12), but by the Holy Spirit we can see all that He is in His invisible self, His love, His compassion, His glory, His power, and His works.
