"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you" (Psalm 32:8, NIV).
How do I know if I am being led by God?
I know it is a rather subjective question, but we can give some guidelines. Ask yourself three questions:
Is what I am about to do an act of faith or an act of presumption? Am I just presuming God will bless something without seeking His will?
Is what I feel led to do in conflict with the clear teaching of God's Word? God will never lead you contrary to His Word.
Will what I feel led to do glorify God or will it bring disgrace to Him?
"Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31)
(Commentary Mark Martin)
